Mike
I’m Mike, the patriarch, if you will. I’ve always loved the outdoors. Whether it was the vacant 3-acre lot down by the railroad tracks where I grew up in flat-as-a-pancake Indiana or the first time I saw the Grand Canyon.
I didn’t grow up in an adventurous family of adrenaline junkies. I mean, we did the occasional hike at the local state park from time to time, but it was never enough to quench my desire to explore, climb, and then explore some more.
After Randi and I got married, we started to develop our passion for hiking and have continued to do so as we grew our family. Through life’s ups and downs we’ve learned the value of the rejuvenating qualities of a spiritually renewing and physically strenuous hike.
BTW…I have a way with animals!
